Has any one been successful using the MSGEQ7 chip as a interface to the WLED program? I have had one lying about for ages. I found a git site with the instructions for a 8266, but I imagine that could be pretty slow. The pinout on the MSGEQ7 are VCC, Reset, Out, Strobe, and ground. The github instructions are compiled in.

I think yes, there was some discussion about this in the MoonModules Discord. I even made a proof of concept to implement the chip’s basic funcitonality in software, I also posted that in said Discord. And by “in software” I mean without any hardware required.
