Hi. I love this software and use to give my home some lively lights. I would love to use as a sort of notification. Is it possible to send request to the API in a way that will trigger one round of effect? For example one loop of scanner or breathe?
This has come up before and I still like the idea.

I understand that this is not possible 
I have similar question then - is it possible to send number of leds to light up, like a progress bar? I am looking at UDP, because it seems fastest and has means of addressing individual leds, but I don’t understand, how to construct a packet
Also, can I make “one time animation” a feature request? 
The Gradient effect will do this based on the Intensity value.
