Plug and Play WLED controller

So I recently installed Appeck permanent outdoor lights, and a ericsity wled controller. It has two seperate outputs and I have 200 feet of lights running off two power supplies. Is it possible to keep both my power supplies and wire the data to the wled board and wire my lights independently without powering the board with 24v? The board comes with an input slot 5-24v but I fear if I hooked power up I could only do one strand of 100lights since that’s the max the lights say they can handle is 100ft. Since there is two outputs on the board I’d like to power the board with 5v wire data and ground to outputs. And then wire positive and ground straight to the leds or would that not work?

It should work as long as all grounds are shared and you make sure that you don’t share (+) Positives between power supplies.

To be honest I don’t see why you can’t just power them from the controller. That controller is rated for 10A and 800ish pixels (likely 1200 - I would think 600 per port).

Looking at the specs for 100ft strings of those lights It says there are 72 LEDs per 100 ft and they use 24v 3A of power.

If you were to use like a 24v 10A power supply connected to the controller it should have no problem powering 144 pixels (72 per port)

If doing so please don’t use the barrel connector. Use the wire terminals.

Okay thank you, I was just nervous because the website says 100feet is the max
