My oldest son saw the Tested video on building this and wanted to tackle it. We made ours 10" [254 mm] tall and used 5mm-wide WS2812B strips (192 LEDs).
We had a bit of an incident where we lost a pad on a strip so I had to look up the pinout to solder directly to the chip.
This was shot just before we finished the final trim.
