Hi Guys,
I am doing a Project with an ESP32 and SK6812 5V. I saw a lot of pictures on Google where they place 470 Ohm Resistor on the Green Data Cable. What is the reason for this? Does the circuit life longer?
This is my setup… i would be happy if somebody can give feedback

the data resistor is to match impedance / clean up the signal. it helps sometimes.
but you should really add a levelshifter, especially if your data line is longer than 1m.
Can you help me to understand what part you mean with levelshifter and where to place ?
