I have a WLED light I’ve been using for a few years using my PC. I am hoping to use my Samsung android phone instead to control it thru the WLED app. I have actually installed some new lights and am using the WLED app on my phone to control those. But not sure how to get my old light on the WLED app as well. When I click discover new lights it doesn’t find it. I can go to my Wi-Fi settings and find the signal it is broadcasting and if I try to connect it brings up the WLED app that way. But how do I get it to display in my main user page on WLED as a light to pick from like my other lights? Thank you for the help!
The WLED android app will find any WLED controller that is on the same network as the phone.
If the phone is getting WiFi from your home router, then you need to configure WLED to connect to that same router.
When you use the WLED AP “broadcast”, you’re using the WLED controller as a crude WiFI router.
That’s intended to let you connect and then reconfigure the controller to use your local router.
