Will this work with WLED?

I’m just getting started with WLED and thought I’d check this before getting too far along.

Will WLED work with this?

I have a use case that precludes the regular LED strips and the above driver may well suit my needs.

In what way will using WLED with WS2811 be different to WS2812b?

Is WS2812b availavale as SOC?

Those are the chips that go on the strips or in the bullets to actually control the LED. If you are asking if WLED will run on those chips, no, it won’t. If you are asking if WLED on a controller can drive LEDs attached to that chip, yes it can. But you’d need some resistors in there too. If your just getting into the hobby/electronics, I highly suggest you look for a prebuilt configuration like this WS2812b chip or these 3W WS2811 lights

Thank you, Artacus.

What I need are hardwired, addressable RGB GU10 or MR16 lamps, but these don’t seem to be commercially available, so thought I’d make my own.

The second item you linked to would be a start, so thank you.

Search Athom Wled GU10 on Google

Thank you. I saw those some time ago but they are wireless.
