Hello
I want to install WS2815B(12v) and ESP32 in my car. I will power the LED strip straight from the Ashtray outlet (15A fuse), but I have some concerns.
How do I power the ESP32? It operates at 5V, AI told me that I need simple step-down converter, but I do not trust it a lot and want to get advice from trustworthy source.
I am also planning to apply some tweaks as Turbo Boost Sensor (which will make the LED’s blink when overboost is detected), Motion sensor (activate LED’s when motion near pedals detected), and Buzzer (beep when overboost also), I know that I will have to edit source-code of WLED but it is not a problem for me.
Can somebody give me quick lecture about what I need to succesfully apply it to my car (without burning it down)? |
