D1 Mini Node MCU ESP 8266

Hello everyone.
I use the esp8266 with wled 13.3 to make this „running water effect“ on my WS2812 led strips.
Playlist with wave and solid. It works like it should.

I dont want to run the power supply the whole time (including the esp) so i turn off the power via switch. After power up again the running water effect holds for half a second in the 2nd quarter and then it jumps on where it should be. Seems like it stops for a short time and jumps forward.

Any ideas?

it connects to wifi which needs some time

Yes, i know. I have configured the esp to start with the running effect after boot up. It starts the effect but stopps after the 50th led for 0.3s and then jumps forward to the 75th led and keep going with the effect. I can put a solid effect before the wave but it stopps everytime in the wave effect and only after boot up.

try updating to latest, 13.3 is really old.

Latest version gives me additional problems

additional or different? i.e. does it fix the effect?

Not fixing the effect but additional flickering at boot up at all leds

Ok. It is possible to add a solid preset before the wave for 2sec. then the wave effect works fine. Is it possible to add an api command for a wait time?
So if i boot up it waits for 1 sec before effect starts?

maybe start with solid black preset first in the playlist?

Hi Jinx. I tried that one but it only works with one from 3 esp8266. 3esp-3 led strips.
On the other 2 there is a short flickering at boot up on the whole strip. All 3 same configuration, soldered the connections again, i dont know what the problem is. Maybe a 50-100uF will help?

some led strips flash white when you turn them on.

It depends on the controller. One is booting without flickering. Tried all 3 stripes-ok. Testing other 2 controllers - flickering on all 3 stripes.
