I’d love to be able to plug an ESP32’s data input line into a proprietary led controller’s data out line, decode virtual pixels to allow as a colour picker for fx or direct mapping to segments.
The reason for this, is that one can easily buy an hdmi sync box or camera sync setup from govee or similar… but typically can’t integrate - especially not locally with low latency. With DRM/HDCP building HDMI sync is not likely to happen. Hyperion and similar are fighting a tough novel battle on this front. This could be nice simple way to break out of vendors ecosystem and bring HDMI or other vendor integration into WLED and the community.
