I tryed to connect them by following the second schematic for 12 V DC:

Maybe. It doesn’t say which chips are used.
Looking at the picture they are only addressable every 3 leds. So any effects will always have groups of 3 led’s being the same color.
I also got something like that from amazon ( RGBIC ) and they are ws2811 only addressable every 3 leds as jinx mentioned , however IP65 covering got changed to yellow color after two months of indoor use , still light up fine and they look really good for the price
