So I have an esp8266 with 11.1 (downgraded to 11.0 but same result) installed but no matter what i try, the green leds in the peek bar will always be on an green! Turning off the segment for that section doesn’t change the state, they’re still green. Turning off that segment doesn’t change those leds. Changing the color order in the led preferences will change the actual leds but the peek will still show green and the actual leds stay whatever incorrect color the wrong order in the led preferences result in. Any ideas on what might be going on here?

If you reset your segments, so that only Segment 0 covers all LEDs, does that fix the issue?
When other users had similar issues with some LEDs getting stuck on a specific color, it was usually due to bad residue flash contents. You can try going to the http://[WLED-IP]/edit page to backup your presets, then completely erase the flash memory of your board using esptool erase_flash and then flash the WLED binary again

Wow, that edit feature is awesome! I didn’t know it existed, I had always wondered if there was a way to backup the config and presets.
Resetting the segments so that it covers all 270 led’s does not change the problem.
So I wiped the flash and did a fresh install of 11.1. Good news is that the strip lit up the first 30 leds as orange, so it was working. Then I added my cfg and preset info to the edit page, restarted wled, and the problem came back. So now i’m thinking its something in my cfg or presets screwing something up. I’m going to dig into it a little bit more tonight.

Thank you for the files! I still can’t immediately tell what the issue could be, but does changing the second color change the green? It appears like the second color of Segment 0 of your segments is green.
Another thing you could try is setting the boot preset to 0 and see if the green appears at boot. If yes, it is likely that cfg is the problem, if not, presets are more likely.
Nice eye on noticing the second color bring green, I didn’t think to change the palette at all. Changing the second color does change that weird part from green to whatever color the second palette color is. Even black. So that’s a good clue.
Changing the default preset to 0 shows the similar pattern except the palette colors are orange, black and black. The parts that were green in my screenshot above are black and the rest of the bar is orange. Whats odd is that I notice there’s also a flicker where for a split second, the whole bar is orange. So weird.
Tomorrow, I’m going to try clearing the config and starting over with a new one. I wonder that the heck I did to cause this!
