First Project-2 Trees-only 1 at a time?

I have 2 wood trees, 1 small with 109 YRS 12V Seed Pixels and one large with 165 of the same; running a DigUno. I bought xConnect Extensions and cut them in half to connect the trees thinking that would be like a “pigtail”. When I connect the little tree, it works. When I connect the large tree, it works. But when I connect the 2 trees using the xConnect, only the little tree lights up and the seed pixel closest to the connection freaks out, blinking madly. I don’t think I need power injection but would have expected part of the big tree to light. As the big tree at 165 lights works, I would have thought part of it would have lit? Any ideas what the challenge could be?

I don’t think I’m fully understanding your setup. Could you maybe post a pic?

If you cut an xConnect extension in 1/2 that would give you a male pigtail and a female pigtail. To connect the 2 trees one after the other in series you would have to connect the Female pigtail to the output side of tree #1 and connect the male pigtail to the input side of tree #2 (Data only flows 1 direction through pixels). Then screw the xConnect ends together and it should work *If you have changed your total # of pixels in WLED config and segments.

If you tried splicing your xConnects to only the input sides of each tree you can not connect them together, again because data only flows 1 direction.

If connected like my pic it should work as long as the distance from tree 1 to tree 2 is less that 10ft give or take
