Losing Segment settings

I am using a QuinLED-Dig-Quad with WLED. I am creating my segments with colors and effects. When power is removed and re-applied from the Dig-Quad, the segment and settings that I created are lost.

To save in WLED, I:

  1. select the segment with upper left check box,
  2. make my segment settings that I desire,
  3. select the save check box to the right of the segment LED counts
  4. deselect the segment check box.

Everything works as desired, except when power is removed.

Anyone have any tips or have seen this before as well?

Segments are only saved as part of a preset. Just be sure to save them in whatever preset you use as your boot preset.

Any plans to change that? It makes no sense to a noob like me. I just wasted hours trying to work out how to get them save properly.

And FWIW the segments being lost breaks all my presets. I think I had the save segments checkbox set (although I had no idea what it meant) but I’ve had to manually edit the json api so much to get it to behave that I’m not sure any more.

No, that’s how it works.
