So i bought the FCOB RGB IC Light Strip WS2811 5m, DC 12V 720leds/m and the ESP-WROOM-32. I powered the ESP32 wit an USB and the LEDs with an external power supply. Installed the Programm and selected the Pin i used (GPIO2). But wen I powered everything on, the LEDs wehre freaking out and displayed random colors. I had no control over them. I played with the controls, searched forums and YT but could find any solution on why that is. Now they aren’t even turning on no more. Dose someone has any solution to this?
You likely don’t have all your grounds commonly connected. All DC grounds need to be common. Ground from your controller, LED’s and LED’s power supply need to be connected together.
They are connected, but since then they just stopped working and won’t even turn on
Might be a bad connection or the strip is actually faulty.
