I installed 0.14 b5 and could not, for the life of me get scrolling text to work. I eventually reverted to B4 and all seems ok now. Anyone else having this issue?

Have you set the 2d configuration in the setup panel?
when selecting runningtext in the segment0 option you have to fill in the text
Yes there were reports of changes in text in b5 , one of those bugs is that on default setting text will not show date as before , you can either fill the segment name each time or compile from latest source , i think the fix is here GitHub - Aircoookie/WLED at 0_15
