SILICON LABS CP210x USB TO UART Bridge

I am trying to download WLED on my computer so I can work on CP210x board but I have this error popping up: “Serial port is not ready. Close any other application using it and try again.” And this is happening on all my computers. Now, I have a hard time troubleshooting. I changed the cable, but still have the same issue over and over. Is there any step-by-step troubleshooting process?

Please, help !!!

Did you try holding the boot button on the Esp before clicking start and releasing it once install starts?

Are you sure you are using a usb cable that supports data transfer?

I tried all that. The thing is how do I know that I have the right cable? Is there any specification I should follow?
I am going to purchase another USB to make sure that it’s the right one.
