And very useful and unique… i’m new here and have a question / curiosity, which would be: Can I use two LED strips with different effects and with only a single nodeMCU or any other controller?

Yes, there is a separate, beta branch (peacepenguin) for multi-strip. There is also a usermod in the current code.
