so not understanding how the strip only has two “pins” and beyond that I’ve not seen anything in latest firmware where you specify four pins for this strip which is now apparently supported.
So basically I am confused. Anyone can straighten me out about wiring this strip.
at the btf site they show strip using this sp603E controller but how does ESP32 substitute for that? (strange they show DAT going to both D and B pins on strip)
Forget the “SPI” nomenclature in those ads, it has no connection to the industry standard meaning for multi device communication.
The WS2805 type LEDs have standard D(ata)In, and B(ackup)In data lines.
The recommended wiring is to ground the BIn line for the 1st LED and supply data to DIn as you would for typical WS281x devices.
You’ll have to have a more recent version of WLED to support that protocol.
I think you need to get up to V 0.15.xxx(?)
