Can't connect to WLED-AP

Hi,
i flashed the latest version of WLED to my Wemos D1 Mini - the LEDs are turning orange and the WLED-AP is showing up in my phone but i can’t connect - it is showing: “the connection could not be authenticated” with a locked wifi icon - although the WLED-AP should be without authentification(?)
I already tried a erase_flash and enter wled1234 as password but no success …
Any ideas? Could it be that the Controller is not compatible?
Thanks

Edit: tried the WLED Web installer - it connects and i re-flashed it but got an error when entering the correct wifi credentials …

Hi,
I would flash again with the v.2 web installer and once it completes click the ‘next’ button and then enter the ssid and password of your home wifi network. Then it will have a button ‘visit device’. Once in there head to config, WiFi Setup, and it will tell you the ip address and all the other info.

Oh and if for some reason you mess up the ssid and or password of your wifi you can easily change it from the v.2 web installer. Just reconnect and when you click install it will come up with an option to change the wifi.

Unable to connect, entered the code correctly. Wifi is 2.4GHz. What is wrong? :frowning:
Thanks

That screen is so that you can connect WLED to your wifi network.
It needs the SSID of the wifi network you want it to connect to and the password.

If you just want to connect to WLED’s built in Access Point you can just close out of that and search your available wifi networks list for WLED-AP

Unfortunately, that’s what I’ve tried, without success. Says my code is wrong at SSID. And I can’t find it on my Wi wifi networks list for WLED-AP :frowning:
So what could be wrong? :frowning:

It’s either in AP mode or on your network. Not both.

Are you using non-alphanumeric characters in SSID/PW?
