Strip starts at power on although option disabled

Although I have the option “Turn LEDS on after Power up” disabled, the strip always starts at power on.

Any idea?

Update: I just updated to WLED_0.14.0-b4_ESP8266.bin, but no change.

My setup:

Do you have “Apply Preset at boot” set to anything?

Oh … yes. Thank you.
I set this to 0 and now it stays dark. But when I switch it on with Alexa, the strip is all orange instead of my preset running.

Obviously there is really no way to assign a default preset without having the strip turned on at power on…?

Try creating a preset that has all LEDs off and use that as the start preset.
“0” is the factory default which is orange (for test purposes).

Thank you.
I tried a preset with brightness turned to min and made that preset at boot.
It starts with that low brightness when power up and when Alexa switches it on it continues with that brightness. :worried:

It’s been a while since I’ve fiddled with the presets, but I think this is your problem. Try making a preset that is simply “T=0” and configure “Apply Preset at boot” to use this preset. For more info, check the kno.wled page!

Hi mjg1088!
Thank you! :bouquet:
:100: points, that did the trick! :+1:
It stays now off, when powered up and plays the default preset at boot, when Alexa turns it on.
